The Research Residence at the University Consortium of Seinäjoki (UCS) offers workspaces to all researchers, especially doctoral researchers, whose research has a connection to the region of South Ostrobothnia in Finland, regardless of their institutional affiliation. The Research Residence has places for ten researchers. Applications are invited on a rolling basis and reviewed three times a year.
The Research Residence is not only a place for conducting research as it also provides a framework for creating a community of researchers and supports the delivery of impact for society through research. UCS offers training to researchers to support their research and hosts regular get-togethers. Researchers with a place in the Research Residence will also have the opportunity to participate in the activities of UCS.
The Research Residence will be gradually reopened in the autumn of 2021. New researchers will be invited to join the residence and the facilities will be reopened as soon as the Covid-19 restrictions allow it. The Research Residence provides researchers with a workspace, a high-speed internet connection and access to printers. Researchers pay €60 per month for their place in the residence.
